ABCnews and other sources reported yesterday that there has been a class action lawsuit filed alleging that certain bras made by the popular retailer Victoria’s Secret may be contaminated with formaldehyde or other chemicals causing rashes, welts, hives and excessive itching. InjuryBoard partner Mike Ferrara reported recently that some manufacturing plants in China and Latin America are putting formaldehyde in textiles and apparel. This may turn out to be a case where a company is not properly overseeing the manufacturing of its product, especially when the manufacturing has been outsourced overseas.

Heaven knows why you would put a chemical that can cause skin irritation in clothing, but with some of Victoria Secrets Angel bras causing skin irritations, rashes, and even permanent scarring, the devil is certainly in the details.
